Vintage Blue & White Double Happiness Temple Jar
from $165.00

These blue and white temple jars carry the shuangxi — the double happiness symbol — at their center, a character formed by joining two xi (joy) together into one. It is one of the oldest and most auspicious symbols in Chinese decorative tradition, most commonly appearing on jars exactly like these. Surrounded by scrolling sweet pea vines that carry their own meaning: many children, and forever. A piece you give at a wedding. A piece that stays in a family.

The cobalt blue is deep and saturated against crisp white, the domed lids are topped with solid cobalt finials, and each jar sits on a carved wood riser that adds both height and warmth. The scrolling vine covers the entire body with the kind of all-over density that rewards a close look — there is always more to see.

Two available. 18” with riser. 16.5” without riser. One riser has minor scuffs, noted. No chips or cracks on either jars. Wood risers included. Sold individually or as a pair.

Tucked inside every set, a little something for first time Tavola customers — a hand-finished vintage passport notebook. Note the piece, the moment, the person you gave it to. One day these pieces will sit in someone else's hands — and they'll know it came from yours.

Vintage Indian Brass & Bronze Reticulated Tray
$240.00

At 22" across, this Indian brass and bronze tray commands whatever surface it lands on. The form is quatrefoil — four lobed curves meeting at a scalloped edge that gives the whole piece an almost architectural presence. The border is fully reticulated, a dense pierced diamond lattice that lets light through and adds shadow and depth from every angle. Loop handles sit at the sides. Small decorative feet lift it just enough. The surface carries engraved floral and scrollwork medallion detail — the kind of hand-worked ornament that takes time and intention.

The patina is warm and aged, the natural result of brass and bronze doing what they do over years.

Put it on an ottoman, a console, a bar cart, or a coffee table. Fill it with objects, or leave it empty — it holds its own either way.

Johnson Brothers Provence & English Ironstone Green Transferware
from $20.00

The green transferware pairing you didn't know you needed.

The Provence pattern is understated English transferware at its best — a delicate green floral vine and daisy border with small red accent blooms and a single floral sprig centered in the well. The Old Granite backstamp says it all: Staffordshire, Made in England, genuine hand engraving, all decoration under the glaze and detergent and acid resisting. Built to outlast everything on your table.

The ironstone bowl brings the drama — a rich, fully saturated forest green scenic landscape with swans, an architectural folly among the trees, and a dense border of florals and scrollwork that leaves almost no white ground visible.

Both pieces are good vintage condition. Four of each available, sold individually.

All other items in tablescape pictures sold separately.

Sarreguemines French Majolica Grape & Vine Plate
$50.00

The French have always known how to make any plate feel like a moment.

Sarreguemines has been producing majolica in northeastern France since the 1860s, and their fruit and vine series is among the most beloved patterns in French faience collecting. This 7.5" plate is covered in relief-molded grape clusters and vine leaves in warm ochre yellow — a monochromatic composition that earns its keep entirely through texture and form. The paneled border radiates outward to a scalloped rim that gives the plate its shape and its character.

Display it on a stand, layer it into a harvest tablescape, or stack several together on a shelf where the repetition becomes its own kind of statement. Five available, sold individually.

Antique Chinese Rose Medallion Plate
$90.00

Every hand-painted plate tells a different story.

These 9.25" Rose Medallion plates are antique Chinese export porcelain at its finest — each one hand-painted in Canton in the classic format: alternating panels of court figures in elaborately detailed interior scenes, full-bloom peonies, birds in flight, and butterflies, all separated by gold scrollwork on a celadon green ground. A gilt-bordered rose medallion anchors the center. The rim is finished in gilt.

Rose Medallion has been produced for Western export since the early 19th century and remains one of the most avidly collected Chinese porcelain patterns in the world. Because every piece was painted by hand, no two plates are identical — the figural scenes, the floral arrangements, and the fine details differ from plate to plate. These two are no exception. Great antique condition with minor paint loss.

Sold individually at $90 each.
